Hi there, I’m Jess.

I’ve always had a creative streak. Even back when I was a little girl, some of my favourite memories are of drawing and painting or making silly little craft items out of old junk with my Nan. Teachers and family members would always say to me: “You’re creative. You’re artistic.” So I tried to nurture that but never managed to find a singular outlet that I felt a passion for.

That all changed when I purchased my first digital camera during my early 20’s.

It didn’t turn into a career immediately – I mostly took pictures of either food or my friends but something about the medium just stuck with me.

In my late 20’s, I decided to make a change in my life and moved from my hometown on the Central Coast to the Penrith area. After taking some time to find my feet, I dedicated myself to photography and completed multiple courses – which gave me the confidence I needed to open my own business.

After going live during the years of 2015 – 2017, I was inundated with enquiry and requests for candid family shoots and intimate weddings. I was invited to photograph all over Australia and traveled to Melbourne, Adelaide and Rural NSW to accommodate the needs of my clients.

As we moved into 2018, I made the difficult decision to scale back my business to help care for my mother, who, unfortunately, became terminally ill.

I took some time after she passed to spend with my family and during 2019, my husband and I welcomed our beautiful daughter Phoebe to the world.

A couple of years on from there and Phoebe is settled into her little routines. My husband has changed careers and is on the rise. And I find myself longing to document life again.

My style of photography is inspired by natural light, vibrant, organic colours and genuine emotions. My images adopt a highly candid approach to photographing people; it’s the “in between” moments that show true honesty in images, and my aim is to create a living memory of the time we share together.

I don’t force picture perfect portraits; most of us are not professional models and our weddings and our lives are not an editorial photo shoot. Connecting with people and their unique stories first is important to me, creating memorable, authentic photographs happens after.
