Pricing & Info

Your aim as a photographer is to get a picture of that person that means something. Portraits aren’t fantasies; they need to tell a truth.
— Tim Walker (fashion photographer)

You

You believe in the simple things, the real things, the good things - family, friends, love, fun. You might feel apprehensive and awkward about having photos taken, I know, I’m right there with you, because I am the same.

You can’t be bothered with some strange photographer bossing you about, making you pose in weird positions and barking orders at everyone.

You don’t just want to remember what your family looked like or how your wedding looked; you want to remember connections, expressions, emotions, quirks and personalities. You want a story of that moment, frozen in time.

You want your photographs to reflect your best selves, your true selves. You want real memories, real emotions, captured in the most relaxed way.

HOW I WORK

My style of photography is inspired by beautiful light, vibrant, organic colours and genuine emotions. Connecting with people and their unique stories first is important to me, creating memorable, authentic photographs happens after.

I specialise in honest, creative, documentary photography that captures real people in real moments.

I don’t force picture perfect portraits; most of us are not professional models and our weddings and our lives are not an editorial photo shoot.

Photography with me doesn’t just start and end on the day of your wedding or scheduled shoot; I am constantly in communication with you, helping you, so we can create the best possible images together come shoot day, and ensuring you’re beyond happy afterward!

FAQ’s

Q: what is your style of photography?

A: My style of photography is inspired by beautiful light, vibrant, organic colours and genuine emotions. My images adopt a highly candid approach to photographing people; it’s the “in between” moments that show true honesty in images, and my aim is to create a living memory of the time we share together.

I don’t force picture perfect portraits; most of us are not professional models and our weddings and our lives are not an editorial photo shoot. Connecting with people and their unique stories first is important to me, creating memorable, authentic photographs happens after.

Q: WHY DO YOU ONLY PHOTOGRAPH AT SUNSET FOR ON LOCATION SHOOTS?

A: Achieving beautiful images is all about the light, which is why I only shoot during Golden Hour for on location sessions. If you have a baby or a small child and this timing doesn't suit your routines, I would suggest booking a session during Autumn/Winter. If you have small children and you really need your portraits done, we can always shoot at Sunrise!

Q: how long have you been photographing?

A: Professionally, just over 10 years now, with a break in the middle. I’ve been holding a camera in one form or another for nearly 14 years.

Q: do you travel?

A: Currently I am only taking on work in my local areas which include the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury and the Greater Penrith region. This is purely due to being a Mum to a preschooler. :)

Q: Do you backup our photos?

A: I am extremely thorough with my backup and archiving process for anything I photograph. As I shoot, images are stored on two separate SD cards and I change cards frequently throughout the day to minimise the very rare chance of a hardware failure. These cards are stored in a water, fire and shockproof case and once I’m home, I backup your images to three separate storage facilities.

Q: will you be the person photographing our session?

A: Absolutely, and this is one of the most important and critical questions to ask any potential photographer you may be interviewing. From our initial consultation, to communications leading up to your day and to your actual session day and after; it’s just me who will be working with you.

Q: why do you only take limited bookings each year?

A: It is especially important to me that I safeguard the quality of the service I provide, and the work I produce for my clients, as well as allowing myself the freedom to be present with my family. I live a very minimalist lifestyle and truly believe in balance between work and life.

Q: do you photograph elopements?

A: Yes! Please contact me to discuss your unique needs, every elopement is different.

Q: how do i pay and how much is the deposit?

A: I’m quite flexible with payments - you don’t need to pay in a lump sum.
However, a 30% non-refundable deposit as a retainer and a signed contract is required when securing your booking. The remaining balance is to be paid 2 weeks before your scheduled shoot.

Q: what if we need to postpone?

A: I absolutely understand things don’t always go to plan, and we can always reschedule for another day at no extra cost.

Q: what is the best way to contact you?

A: Emailing me is the best way to contact me, as I’m not always contactable by phone if I’m out on location photographing.

Q: how do i find more info on your services?

A: Contact me and you will receive a comprehensive brochure with full pricing options, information and FAQ’s specific to the type of photography you’re enquiring about.

Q: DO YOU DO GIFT VOUCHERS?

A: Yes! Please contact me for more information on gift vouchers.

Q: how do i book with you?

A: Once you’ve contacted me and you’ve had a look at the brochure I’ve sent you, we can organise a time and day that’s suitable for a consultation at no cost if you wish. It gives you a chance to ask me any questions you may have, and we both get a feel if we are the right fit for each other. That connection is so important when choosing your photographer.
